Internships
The Publisher’s Post is a monthly newsletter that reports the news, views and opinions of the Indian publishing industry. The newsletter is sent to more than 700 subscribers and is archived on the website http://www.thepublisherspost.com. Currently a compilation of news reported on various websites and blogs, The Publisher’s Post now wishes to engage with publishing houses, authors and others related to the publishing field and get news first-hand so that both the range of topics it covers and the frequency (currently monthly) is increased. For that purpose, we are looking for two interns to start work immediately.
Interns will:
1. Liaison with those associated with the publishing industry so that information about the latest events (including book launches, workshops, publishing-related seminars and conferences and book fairs) can be obtained from the source
2. Develop and maintain secondary sources of information that can be included in the Post
3. Suggest and develop additional features for the newsletter and website
We are looking for graduates and above, preferably in any liberal arts subjects, who are passionate about books. Familiarity with the website and an understanding of what the newsletter is trying to achieve is important if you wish to apply. Basic knowledge of working with a wordpress blog and html is preferable.
The Publisher’s Post doesn’t pay interns. If interested please write to: writetous@ thepublisherspost.com with ‘internship’ as the subject line and a page describing how you can contribute to the enhancement of the newsletter.
Thanks,
Leonard Fernandes
